Hollywood Eyebrows was established 2007 in Brighton Melbourne, by Anna Barsoum, who had been in the beauty business since 2000. In the first 7 years Anna had discovered her creativity and passion for Eyebrows. Not being a patient person by nature, she quickly came to realize the effect good and bad brows had on peoples appearance.
A strong believer of ‘ if you look good, you feel good.’ She was overwhelmed by the changes she was creating to people’s faces and lives.
By breaking beauty school rules, at the time of no trimming of the brow hairs and no waxing the top of the brows. She was able to reposition, re shape , balance out and most of all creating a perfect balance to the face.
In 2007, Anna decided to only focus on her passion. She sold her general beauty business to open a specialised eyebrow salon. family and friends had thought she had lost her mind. Only offering limited services, in an affluent suburb, where rent and overheads were astronomical. One radio add later; Hollywood eyebrows were booked out for the first 3 months and never advertised again.
Late 2016, end of lease creeped up to Brighton. Hollywood Eyebrows were closed for 12 months, during which a new location was secured and renovated to a private, prestige, glamorous standard. Our new home in St Kilda is proving to be central, easy access and filled with character and charm.
